Ms. Ginger Brown

Ginger Brown is the Founder and Artistic Director for Ginger Brown’s Academy of Performing Arts.  Ginger has personally performed or taught dance/other performing arts in Puerto Rico, Belgium, Italy, England, Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and throughout the United States.  She has trained with and taught alongside some of the greatest Master Instructors in the industry.  

For over 40 years, Academy students have taken numerous top honors in Regional and National Talent competitions, as well as top National Choreography Awards.  Academy students have had the opportunity to travel and make special guest performances in England and South Korea Arts Festivals, Cruise Ships, ½ time show Tribute to the Great Smoky Mountains for UTK at Neyland Stadium, various Theme Parks, as well as the opening number many years for the TV production of the Gatlinburg Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade.  Many students have continued their love for dance and performed professionally in ‘Off Broadway’ shows, Cruise Ship Lines, Stage Shows, Theme Parks, and Television.

Ginger was Director of Choreography for the Humble Swan Production Co.’s presentation of Oliver, Cinderella and Peter Pan; these were produced at the Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga, TN.  She choreographed for the Dollywood Dancers in the Randy Parton shows, has served as an area Fashion ShowCoordinator, produced and hosted a local TV Show “Kidz Zone”.  Ginger produced both a “Rock’n’Roll” and “Christmas Spectacular” for the Chattanooga Choo Choo Centennial Theatre.  She has judged for many top talent organizations both at the regional and national level.  

Since 2006 Ginger and her dancers have performed in Gatlinburg’s Smoky Mountain Tunes & Tales as the “Backporch Cloggers” and her character,

“Ms. Nan”.  This year the Gatlinburg Convention and Visitors’ Bureau hired Ginger’s newest company, Creative Arts in Motion Productions, to produce the entire Tunes & Tales program for 2013 which includes the Spring, Summer, and Christmas shows.    

Ginger established the SpiritHorse Therapeutic Riding program at Eagles Rest Ranch for special needs individuals, brain and spinal cord injuries and youth at high risk; last Fall she initiated the Veterans program “SpiritHorses for Heroes”.  In March she was selected to become the 2nd Master SpiritHorse Instructor to be named in the United States, by founder, Charles Fletcher.  Ginger is a certified EAP Specialist through Greg Kersten’s O.K. Corral Series.

For the past 4 years Ginger and a core of other Volunteers has hosted the Special Olympic Training and Horseshow for the Area I Special Olympics at Eagles Rest Ranch.  For the last 4 years, the Academy has been the host for the Special Olympics classes in Rhythmic Dance for Area I.

Ginger feels blessed to have the opportunity to encourage individuals to reach deep within to discover their personal potential in all of life!
